disco????????
Maybe we could plan a disco or something since student guild got a bunch of money from it
Good idea
Good idea. hmm... but not in the round house.
Too many discos in the round house people won't really come.
How about a whole different place?

Re: disco????????
disco at candy!!!! no i joke, but disco is a poor idea, we have to either sell something (something that relates to poor people or fish in some way) or just convince rolfe to let us offer a mufti

Mufti, disco and other ways of getting people's money
You are all right about mufti. It's unlikely that Mr. Rolfe will allow another mufti soon, so we should not wait for that to happen. Also, there may not be another disco at school - perhaps at the end of the school year, but maybe not because there will be Senior Formal for years 11-13 and Junior Formal for the others.
If you think a disco is a good idea why can't we look at having a disco somewhere else..... someone must have a really large house that they wouldn't mind lending to a bunch of Regent's students to party in. I'm sure there'd be some parents or teachers willing to do some supervision......
Also could there be some 'doing something-a-thon' like the swim-a-thon last year (which no-one really swam at, just played in the water), such as a 'walk-a-thon' walking around the oval at school, counting laps properly ...
What about an auction of 'pre-loved' goods - everyone is invited to bring in things (books, bags, CDs, DVDs, jewelry...) they don't use anymore but are still in good condition, then one lunchtime in the Round House they goods are auctioned off. If you've got a good, funny auctioneer like Mr. Pickles or Mr. Rawlings.... it could be fun. Maybe as a way of getting one of those teachers involved you could propose sharing the profit with the Burma group.. maybe?

Dodge ball
We could organise a dodge ball tournament, for after school on a Friday. Students get into teams of 8 - 10 players, and there needs to be at least 6 teams to make it really worthwhile. We could get pizzas in to sell and soft drink by the bottle but sell by the cup with ice (makes a lot of money!) or have some teachers or parents running a 'sausage sizzle'.

Mufti Disco
But wont Mufti and Disco be related to the Student guild too much? Its like their major fund raising event, maybe we could do something different?
